The black diamond bull’s-eye is about 8mm x 8mm and stands out clearly against the neon orange background. Any shooter can improve on aim and accuracy with these simple, popular targets. Many airgun shooters stick them to cardboard targets or metal spinners. The possibilities are endless! They are also the perfect size to test the grouping on your rifle or pistol.

In shooting sports, a shot grouping, or simply group, is the collective pattern of projectile impacts on a target from multiple consecutive shots taken in one shooting session. The tightness of the grouping (the proximity of all the shots to each other) is a measure of the precision of a weapon. Also, it is a measure of the shooter’s consistency and skill. On the other hand, the grouping displacement (the distance between the calculated group center and the intended point of aim) is a measure of accuracy.

Always use appropriate eye and ear protection where necessary. Abide by all bylaws and make use of a sufficient backstop. A backstop is anything that will safely stop a pellet, should you either miss your intended target or should it go through the target. Depending on the lie of the land, a backstop can be the ground itself. Alternatively, a brick or stone wall, or any suited material, can be a backstop.
