ACCUTAC TYPE SR-5QD BIPOD
Take accurate aim with the Accutac Type SR-5QD Bipod. Made from high quality aluminum and equipped with a quick detach rail mount. So, you can quickly, easily and securely attach the bipod to your rifle. No extra tools for tightening needed.
Thanks to the leg design, of course, you can quickly adjust to five different heights. With centre height adjustability from approximately 183mm to 213mm, you can use this bipod for a variety of rifles. Adjusting your bipod’s height is surprisingly easy. Firstly, pull the leg down to increase the leg length to where you want it. Then, simply press the quick-release for the leg to snap back to its shortest form. They included four notches in between the extremities of adjustment.
Speaking of the legs, we love the “de-stemmed branches” design, of course. That just means they have a textured surface, resembling de-stemmed branches, to provide a better grip. This enhanced grip lets you easily pull and also pivot the legs along their arc of adjustment to set them at different heights and positions. This makes it much easier to set up a stable shooting platform on various terrains.
Also, you have the advantage of being able to position each leg differently. To engage or adjust the leg positions, simply pull the leg downward to move each leg independently. Leg positions can be deployed in a 45° or 90° position either forwards or backwards, locking securely into five positions through a 180° arch.
As previously mentioned, you get a quick-detach mount that fits securely to Picatinny rails. You won’t have any trouble operating the lever that flips 180º to tighten the clamp inward onto your Pic rail. The set screw is adjustable via a serrated knob on the other side to determine the adjustment range of the clamp.
Bipod Use
The word, “bipod” comes from biped, which means “two legs”. The addition of a bipod to a rifle gives you a stable platform to manage the forward weight of the rifle. In short, A bipod is an attachment that creates a steady plane to take aim, commonly used on rifles to provide a forward rest and reduce motion. Bipods permit operators to easily rest their rifle on objects or the ground, reducing their fatigue and increasing accuracy and stability.
