AIRMARKSMAN ACE PRECISION SLUGS .2175 40.1GR 125PCS
If you haven’t heard of the AirMarksman ACE Precision Slugs .2175 40.1gr 125PCS yet, you’re in for a treat. From range testing at medium, long, and also longer range, these slugs deliver. Some shooters believe AirMarksman brought you the most accurate, hard-hitting, and precision-engineered airgun slugs the market has ever seen. Whether you’re into long-range shooting, pesting, or competition, this is the ammo you’ve been waiting to test.
The ACE is an exciting new slug designed and developed through a collaborative effort by AirMarksman, Corbin MFG, and Utah Airguns. This innovative projectile boasts an incredibly high ballistic coefficient (BC), which is essential for maintaining stability and precision during flight, leading to enhanced performance in various shooting conditions. Additionally, the ACE slug is engineered for remarkable consistency, which plays a crucial role in aiding shooters to achieve more accuracy.
According to Justin from Utah Airguns, your success rate with the Ace Slugs may very well be higher than with other brands. Simply put, these slugs are not that picky about the barrel they are shot from.
Why These Slugs Change the Game
Swaged to Absolute Perfection: Forget the inconsistencies of casting. These slugs are precision-swaged for flawless uniformity, delivering laser-like accuracy with every shot.
Pure Lead Power: Engineered for both maximum barrel harmony and terminal impact, pure lead ensures superior seal, minimal leading, and devastating impact.
Ridiculously Consistent Muzzle Velocities: Precision-tuned for tight velocity spreads, making them ideal for long-range domination and fine-tuned setups.
High BC (.245) = Less Drag, More Impact: With an ultra-refined shape and a high ballistic coefficient (BC), these slugs cut through wind and retain energy downrange. That means flatter trajectories, better wind resistance, and harder-hitting accuracy, especially at long range.
Built for the Podium: These aren’t just hyped—they’re competition-proven, RMAC-dominating slugs, born from brutal R&D and validated in real-world matches.
Legacy of Excellence: Backed by five decades of Corbin’s projectile mastery, every slug is a testament to precision engineering and a relentless pursuit of performance.
Scientifically Verified: Not just marketing—Applied Ballistics independently verified their superior performance. These slugs deliver where others fall short.

Utah Airguns did an unbelievable long-distance test (video below) that you have to see to believe.

Important Notes
We highly recommend a minimum velocity of 830fps for accuracy and stabilisation. This amounts to about 61ft.lbs of muzzle energy, which is considered high power. Of course, you can shoot these slugs with less powerful air rifles. But for precision, accuracy, consistency and also impact, there is more to it than just having enough energy to push slugs through the barrel.
First of, to shoot 40 grain airgun slugs effectively, you need a high-powered Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) air rifle. According to most experts, preferably one capable of producing at least 40 to 60+ foot-pounds (ft-lbs) of muzzle energy. While they can technically be fired at lower energies, these heavy projectiles require high power to maintain the 900–950+ feet per second (FPS) velocity needed for accuracy and downrange performance.
Shooting at lower muzzle energies may get the slugs out of the barrel, though they will be very slow and have a “mortar-like” trajectory. Medium-range shooting can require less velocity and energy, so likewise, you will need more energy for high-velocity, long-range shooting.
A standard pellet barrel may, in fact, not be sufficient. You need a barrel with a faster twist rate like 1:16 or 1:18 and a profile designed for slugs to achieve tight groups. You will also most likely need to tune your regulator to high pressures (e.g., 145-165+ bar) to achieve the necessary speed.
We do not recommend that you shoot these heavy slugs in underpowered setups like springers, pistols, CO2 airguns, etc.
If in doubt, contact us to discuss a custom tune on your suitable air rifle or for specialist recommendations.
About AirMarksman
Whether you shoot competitively or hunt, AM products help your airgun perform at the top of its class. They are a premier manufacturer and importer of high-end airgun and air charging accessories, known worldwide for quality and innovation.
The mission of AirMarksman is to make your airguning experience better. Airgunners tested their curated collection of products to meet the demand for high-quality accessories at competitive prices. Quality made in the United States of America and sold worldwide.
The Backbone Rail for FX Impact airguns is one of their most popular products. Air Marksman dubbed its Backbone Rail System the ultimate precision top rail for the FX Impact Platform. It comes in various sizes and M.O.A. configurations, tying your entire rifle together and also eliminate tolerance stacking. This rail drastically reduces flex in the entire rifle, creating a more anchored and consistent shooting platform. All this, at the cost of only a few grams added to the total weight of the rifle.
Also, they added a bolt retention detent, keeping the cocking handle and bolt probe held in the rear position when opened. This prevents accidental double feeds and removes play in the cocking handle.
Another sought after product from AM, is the FX Impact M3 Thumb Rest. Adjust both the angle and the position of your thumb with this small add on part. It’s as simple as a turn of the paddle, even while shooting. By mounting a thumb-rest on the M3, you benefit from a natural rest for your thumb. Top shooters choose to use one on their competition guns and in the field.
We expect to see a whole range of products from Air Marksman hit the market in the near future.
