Description
COMPLETE PCP FILL STATION
Fill your air rifle safely and precisely with this Complete PCP Fill Station, suitable for up to 300 Bar PCP airgun filling.
Features include a detachable 50cm high pressure hose, swivel thread, bleed off and large chrome finish gauge. The HP hose features a 1/8″ Female Standard Series Male Nipple on one side that clicks into the gauge housing. Furthermore, you get a quick coupler at the other end of the hose. This is for easy removal and interchangeability between brands.
They marked the gauge face in both MPa (30 MPa is 300 Bar) and psi for your convenience. Also, these Japan gauges are colourcoded and made to be more impact-resistent.
Another great use for a proper PCP Fill Station, is filling your own cylinder. Of course, you need the right compressor that can handle the tough job, like a water-cooled 300 Bar PCP compressor.
Recommendations
When filling your rifle, always turn the air on slowly, as the various valves and seals can be damaged if they receive too much high-pressure air too quickly. Most modern valves have an inbuilt restrictor, automatically slowing down the flow, but it’s a good habit to adopt in any case. Filling your rifle as slowly as possible means the air tube remains cooler and the pressure will drop less once completely cooled.
It may seem tempting to fill your rifle to a higher pressure than the manufacturer recommends. However, you won’t be doing yourself any favours. At best you’ll waste air, and at worst you’ll damage the gun. Either way, you won’t get any more shots. Always practise safety and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines.
We highly recommend that you keep your equipment, including fill stations and fill probes, dust, dirt and damage free. Many users opt for a blank-off that clips into the quick-coupler at the end of the hose. This keeps dirt and dust your of your HP filling hose and, therefore, out of your rifle. Also check if all fittings and connections are secure before use and that there is no visible damage to the hose. This may cause weaknesses and, at the very least, air leaks.
