FULL BODY PIGEON DECOY

Leave nothing to chance with the life-like Full Body Pigeon Decoy and really pull in those pigeons! They are lightweight and compact and you can easily carry them wherever you go shooting. Comes complete with built-in hanging hook and built-in anchoring hook. These decoys feature a hole on their bottom side for a stake. This will lift them off the ground so the target birds can spot them easier and flock to the decoys.

Speaking of the built-in hooks, there is one on the back so you can hang the decoy. Either from a tree or a self-made stand. On the tail end, you’ll find another hook underneath. This is perfect to stabilise your pigeon decoy, whether you mount it on the included stake or hang it from above. You can fasten them to the ground in windy conditions to ensure they stay in position.

You can use a wooden dowel, a stick or any suitable stake to mount them.

From beak to tail, it is 39cm long.

Technique

There are various techniques used for shooting pigeon in different seasons, however one of the most popular techniques is decoying. Decoying involves placing decoy pigeons in the area you’re shooting in an attempt to flight the pigeon directly into your target zone and range.

Many people opt for around a dozen decoys! Why do you need around a dozen pigeon decoys? Pigeons fly and feed with their friends – by using a dozen decoys in the correct pattern, pigeons will be convinced they are coming for a good feed on the field. The right mounting technique will let your pigeon decoy bob up and down and sideways a bit, mimicking pigeons eating. Also, you may identify your decoys easier if they’re a tad off the ground, ensuring you don’t shoot your own decoys.

In case that happens, they will probably die. Or break. Make sure you grab extras.
