FX STX SUPERIOR HEAVY SLUG LINER 500MM 5.5MM
The FX STX Superior Heavy Slug Liner 500mm 5.5mm is the successor of the extremely popular FX STX Slug Liner A. This Superior Heavy Liner has a special twist rate, specially developed for the use of slugs. Therefore, it delivers superior accuracy when shooting slugs.
These liners are compatible with FX Crown, Impact, Wildcat and Dreamline models with STX barrels. They work well with any quality slug made to these specifics, along with the correct regulator/hammer setting on the rifle.
The liner’s rifling is pressed in from the outside, just as with the original STX (Smooth Twist X) liner. This results in a very smooth finish, minimalizing drag. FX made some small modifications to their process for an even more precise method of manufacturing. Consequently, you get smaller tolerances and thus even higher accuracy.
The advantage of the use of liners is the fact you can easily change calibres and twist rates in the FX STX barrel system. This also means an upgrade such as this Superior Heavy liner will slot right into your FX STX barrel. There is no need for additional modifications.
High BC, energy retention, expansion capability, etc. make slugs highly sought after ammo. Naturally, if you are looking to primarily hunt, or extend your range past 100 meters, you are on the right track.
