With the H&N Heavy Slug HP .217 36gr 150PCS, H&N expands their slug weight range in .22 calibre. Designed for long-range pesting or hunting, as well as target shooting with high power airguns. Their most important feature? A new hollow point design with a large meplat combined with soft lead. It provides maximum expansion and energy transfer after impact – for a quick and humane kill.

H&N developed and tested this Heavy Slug range in close collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a renowned expert in airgun hunting and also competitive shooting. Of course, you get the well-known and trusted H&N quality you have come to expect from their air rifle slugs range. Packed in the general screw lid tin, they supply these slugs in 150 piece packages.

Air rifle slugs differ significantly from the usual airgun pellets due to their solid bullet shape. Designed for powerful rifles which can shoot such projectiles precisely at targets at 50, 100 or even 200 meters distance. An extremely favorable ballistic coefficient (BC) ensures a flat trajectory, as well as excellent energy retention. To accommodate different barrel profiles and power levels, they offer options in both .217 and .218, as well as weight. The muzzle energy of the rifle should be at least 18,5 ft.lbs. or 25 joules. For best results H&N recommends 40 to 60 joules. All slugs get visually inspected, hand packed and secured for transport with foam pads, according to their protocol.

H&N 5.5 mm HP slugs in .217 and .218 are meant for use in powerful PCP air rifles where they’ll have the advantage of a better accuracy and bigger impact at large distances than conventional diabolo pellets.
