Description
TITANIUM 3-STAGE 300BAR PCP HAND PUMP
The Titanium 3-Stage 300BAR PCP Hand Pump is a high-pressure hand pump for filling PCP air rifles and pistols. Ideal for remote areas where scuba cylinder filling is not possible.
Lower in cost than cylinders and compressors, an ideal filling choice for those on a tight budget. Also perfect for shooters looking for a back-up filling method. Made for use on PCP rifles, as well as pistols. Also, you need no electricity to run it, nor to refill it like scuba tanks. So, it is ideal for off the grid airunning, or if you live in an area where there’s no scuba cylinder filling services.
So what makes this hand pump a good choice? With the new integrated filter design on top of the hose-end filter, it can filter above 90% of moisture. So, you can rest assured that you’re filling with dryer air than with traditional hand pumps. When the blue desiccant becomes red from moisture absorption, you can remove it and let it dry. You can reuse the desiccant, once it is completely dry, of course.
You get a stable, durable product, thanks to the high quality stainless steel pump body and ergonomic synthetic handle. The folding butterfly pump feet not only give the pump a smaller profile, but also helps in the pumping process. The easy to read gauge with colour-coding is marked in both psi and BAR. Furthermore, you’ll easily bleed off the air in the system via a bleed screw on the opposite side of the gauge.
Test Inflating Result
Thanks to the exclusive 3.5 stage design, it compresses the maximum amount of air possible from each smooth stroke. That means fewer strokes and less work to fill your air gun. Charging a 500cc tank from 1000 psi to 3000 psi needs about 350 strokes, while a 200cc tank from 1000 psi to 3000 psi needs about 140 strokes.
Filling Tips
Note that a PCP hand pump may not fill a completely empty air rifle, because you first need to pressurise the hose and check valve. Which, to be honest, requires significant effort and hand pumps are not designed for filling from zero pressure. The initial pumps only build pressure in the line between the pump and the gun, and it can be hard to overcome the “check valve” until the hose is pressurised.
Use your body weight: Use your body weight to push down on the pump, especially as you reach higher pressures.
Ensure the bleed valve is closed: Before you begin pumping, make sure the bleed valve on the pump is closed tightly.
Pump steadily: Pump slowly and steadily to avoid creating excess heat, which can damage the pump’s O-rings.
Make upstrokes count: On multi-stage pumps, the upstroke also creates pressure. Pause briefly at both the top and bottom of each stroke to allow the air time to transfer between the different stages.Â
Check the pump’s pressure gauge: You will see the pressure gauge on the pump rise before the one on the rifle, confirming that the line is pressurising.
Let the pump cool: Let the pump cool down every 25 to 50 pumps, or about 5 minutes of continuous use (whichever comes first) to prevent damage.
Maintenance
Being the most affordable filling method, you can be assured that it’s also the most labour intensive. The bigger and emptier the air reservoir on the rifle and the higher the BAR rating, the more you’ll have to pump, of course. You’ll also have to perform some maintenance and upkeep. Refer to the included booklet for recommended maintenance and also make sure to use the pump as instructed. If you take proper care of your hand pump, as with your airgun, you’ll enjoy it for far longer.
We highly recommend that you acquire spare seals for your handpump. Take any spare seals that are included to your local seal / o-ring dealer. They can measure the seals and assemble a few spare kits for you. This is a very inexpensive way of ensuring you always have spares, as importing spare seals alone are very expensive, so most dealers / importers import limited spare seals.
Do not let dirt or moisture enter the moving parts. This will damage the pump, just like a car’s engine.
Very importantly, do not use just any lubrication! Use only pure silicon oil that cannot combust under pressure.
