Features
The standout feature of the Tormenta, however, is its dual air supply design. A 250cc air bottle forms the basis for the stock, working in conjunction with an air cylinder beneath the barrel. Combined, they provide 380cc of air. Reximex states a fill pressure of 250 bar, along with a quoted shot count of 210 in 5.5mm.
A plastic sleeve fits over the air bottle butt and ensures a comfortable, ambidextrous shooting position. This is thanks to a shoulder pad that adjusts up and down at the push of a plastic button. The rest of the stock is made from good quality moulded polymer with patches of stippling for added grip. Furthermore, the pistol grip is moulded for left and right handed shooters with shelves for your thumb and trigger finger.
A large flat bottom to the grip is helpful when shooting from a bench. You can use the slot forward of the trigger guard to store a spare magazine, which is good as Reximex supplies two of them. Additionally, you get sling studs installed on this scratch-resistant synthetic stock.
The trigger itself is a post and shoe design and is adjustable for both stages. A red power adjuster switch is located next to the pressure gauge. The side lever is smooth to operate and the magazine takes 12 shots in .22 calibre.
Tormenta’s scope rail is designed to accept either 22mm Picatinny or 11mm Dovetail mounts. Fill Tormenta’s twin air supplies via a single port located at the front of the air cylinder. You can access it by pulling off a friction fit cap. Finally, Reximex did not shroud the barrel, but unscrewing a fluted muzzle protector reveals a ½ inch UNF thread to accept a silencer.
