Description
CLEANING ROD KIT AIRGUNS RIMFIRE
Gun cleaning is an essential part of any shooting tool kit, so grab the Cleaning Rod Kit Airguns Rimfire. Suitable for 4.5mm (.177 calibre) and 5.5mm (.22 calibre) airgun rifles and pistols, as well as firearm rifles and pistols. Packed in a compact, lightweight blister pack, you can carry this kit anywhere for on the go maintenance.
Both practical and convenient, the brass rods of the rifle cleaning kit are stackable. This means you can add more length to the rod to accommodate from short pistols to longer rifles. The connection length of the three copper rods reaches 726 mm, handle included. You get a more firm connection, thanks to the upgraded thread interface. Therefore, the long rod will not be too flimsy, as in previous versions.
Some shooters use the rod to remove double-loaded pellets in the field. So, the total length and stability could come in handy. You can also cut the supplied cleaning cloths down to size for a better barrel fit. If the patch you use is too large, then cleaning the barrel will be difficult and the patch may jam. If it is too small, you may not make full contact with the barrel, leaving an imperfect clean. Being able to cut it down to size is perfect for different calibres and gives you more cloths at the end of the day.

Please Note
Airgun barrels are made from soft steel or brass. Soft steel abrades very fast, and brass abrades even faster. When you clean the bore of a gun, the cleaning rod can rub against the bore at the point where it enters the barrel. It will wear the barrel if it does rub. Experts suggest to clean a barrel from the breech, if possible, so you don’t wear the rifling at the muzzle. Some guns are constructed in such a way that a flexible cleaning rod or cable is the only way you can clean it from the breech.
According to Pyramydair, if you do use a brush, use one made of a material that’s softer than the barrel of your airgun. For steel barrels, a bronze brush is fine. For brass barrels, there are nylon brushes, though they recommend staying out of a brass barrel altogether unless there is a real problem. You only do it when there is a problem with accuracy – not after every firing.
