Description
ATHLON TALOS BTR 4-14X44 APLR2 FFP IR MIL
The Athlon Talos BTR 4-14×44 APLR2 FFP IR MIL is designed to excel when you most need; it in the low light hours of dusk and dawn. As this is mostly a hunting scope, the turrets are exposed for fast dialing and corrections. The parallax is adjustable from 9 meters (10 yards) to infinity.
This scope only comes in the MIL (MRAD) version with the APLR2 illuminated reticle, set at FFP, so the detailed subtensions will always stay matched in all magnifications. The adjustment graduation is 0.1 MIL per click, with the maximum adjustment for elevation and windage of 18 MIL for both.
Talos scopes are made with the high quality and extremely resistant single-piece tubes hammer forged out of aircraft grade aluminum. The black finish of the tubes will prevent glare and protect against wear and tear, as well as from the elements.
Thanks to Athlon’s advanced multi-coated lenses, this awesome scope produces images with exceptional clarity and brightness; even in low light, so you’ll be able to add precious minutes to every hunting day that you’ve worked hard for.
With one-piece, heat treated, aircraft grade aluminium tube design, your Talos scope will stand up to the rigours of the field. You’ll never have to worry about a spot of rain again, thanks to a nitrogen filled waterproof and fogproof body. An advanced, shockproof mechanical system gives you the ultimate recoil resistance to withstand 1000G recoil for 1000 times.
The first focal plane glass etched reticle shrinks and grows along with your target as you zoom in or out, making target engagement at low power quicker than ever, while offering precise holdover positions with finer details.
Features
First Focal Plane Reticle: Accurate and consistent at all magnifications. FFP design that shrinks or grows with your target as you zoom in or out. Perfect for quick target engagement at low power while offering precise holdover positions with finer details.
Illuminated Reticle: For extended shooting hours. The illuminated reticle with 11 brightness settings provides greater visibility during dusk, dawn and other low ambient light environments.
Fully Multi-Coated: Shoot in most conditions. Athlon Optic’s fully multi-coated glass gives you better light transmission. With optimum brightness, as well as true colour across the entire light spectrum.
Etched Glass Reticle: Recoil proof. Reticle etched right on the glass, giving excellent backing support for complex reticle design. Offers both great durability and much higher shock resistance to recoil.
Aircraft Grade Aluminum: Tough, but lightweight. Features extra strength and durability to handle the toughest terrain for a lifetime of use.
Heat-Treated One-Piece Tube Construction: Robust and durable. This specific tube gives the scope extra strength. It’s also better at keeping moisture out, thus keeps your scope fog proof.
Nitrogen Purged: Shoot, whatever the weather. Nitrogen purging dramatically reduces the moisture inside the tube and helps to maintain Fogproof and Waterproof capabilities.
Waterproof: Because you can’t control the weather. Regardless of how heavy the rain is coming down or an accidental drop in the water, this sealed and gas-purged optic will remain waterproof.
Fog Proof: Clear, unobstructed, and accurate sight picture in humidity. You can immediately engage your target when you take your rifle to cold ambient temperatures from warm inside temperatures. Prevents condensation from forming on the inside surfaces of the lenses, which cannot be wiped clean in the field.
Shockproof: The ultimate recoil resistance. Robust mechanical system with special designs on both control and erector systems to withstand 1000G recoil for 1000 times.

About Athlon Optics
Athlon Optics is a US-based sports optics company, well known for designing high-quality, competitively priced optics. These include riflescopes, binoculars, red dots, and also spotting scopes. They focus on delivering features typically found in higher-end optics, such as UHD glass and robust, waterproof construction. Many scopes feature precision zero-stop systems, first focal plane (FFP) reticles, and fully multi-coated lenses.
When it comes to their product line, they offer a wide range of optics to suit just about any shooter. Some of their most popular optics include the high-end Cronus, as well as intermediate Ares and Midas. Also in high demand, is their budget-friendly line, which boasts models like the Argos, Talos, and Neos series.
They manufacture their products in Asia, primarily in China and Japan. Athlon’s high-end lines, such as the Cronus and some Ares models, are made in Japan. Likewise, they produce the majority of their other optics in high-tech Chinese facilities. While they outsource manufacturing, the company maintains quality standards across both locations. Of course, they inspect each product in their Kansas, US facility before distribution.
Even more, Athlon Optics continuously keeps up with and works on new developments, bringing updated technology into their product line.
