The Nova Vista Silencer is a great budget sound moderation option for PCP airgun shooters. Featuring a simple, durable alloy construction for long service life, as well as a sleek finish.

Suitable for pre-charged pneumatic air pistols and rifles in 4.5mm and 5.5mm (.177 and .22) with 1/2″UNF x 20 moderator threads. With 3 chambers and 2 internal baffles, you get good sound suppression and not a lot of added weight.

The size and look of it fits most air rifles on the market today, although we would recommend a bulkier or monocore silencer for higher powered air rifles. It just depends which air rifle you own, as well as how quiet you want your shots to be. Higher powered air rifles generate more sound from the muzzle.

Furthermore, silencers are generally more effective on CO² and PCP Airguns than on gas and spring piston airguns. The way they work is by supressing the muzzle sound. Most of the sound from spring and gas piston airguns are mechanical sounds, from the piston itself and not air or the pellets leaving the barrel.

As this Nova Vista Silencer is for air rifle use only, we do not recommend using it on any firearm or larger calibres than specified.

Be sure to check the threading on your rifle. Some rifles do not come threaded and require an adapter to fit a silencer. For instance, many air rifles with shrouded barrels, like certain Nova Vista models, the Air Venturi Avenger, Artemis M22, etc.

Silencers do not carry a warranty, due to the fact that they can be tampered with. We are also not present during use – so cannot control factors.

Clipping—when a pellet strikes the internal baffles or endcap of a silencer—happens most frequently when suppressor-to-bore alignment is off. This is typically caused by poorly fitted threads, damaged barrel crowns, or loose tolerances on older rifles like tap-loaders.

We do not recommend keeping a silencer on your rifle if you’re not shooting. If you plan to use a silencer, it is generally best practice to remove it during storage and clean/dry it regularly to prevent any long-term barrel damage.
