The Titanium GX CS4-I 12V/220V 300BAR Autostop Compressor is a popular portable PCP air compressor. Boasting a powerful 350W motor with both water and fan cooling, rated for 5 hours continuous work. You also get 12V and 220V functions to power from a building’s power outler or your vechicle’s battery. What’s more, this model features an auto-stop function, so you can ensure you don’t overfill your PCP air rifle.
GX Compressors often get rebranded and in South Africa, they’re frequently available under the Titanium brand.
Product Features
According to the Manufacturer / Importer, this model has the following features:
- New upgraded 350W motor that adopts four-stage compression technology.
- Very stable when running and also very quiet at only 70db.
- Maximum filling pressure of 5800Psi / 40Mpa.
- Equipped with both a double-pointer pressure gauge and two-level setting auto-stop feature.
- A water tank and a grease tank are designed into the top of the compressor. With excellent cooling, you can achieve up to 5 hours of continuous work.
- You can fill a maximum capacity of 1L (sometimes stated 6.8L, please see Usage Notes below) at a rate of 11 – 13 L/min.
- 12V DC input, you can use car battery or household outlet for power supply, equipped with 110V-12V converter.
- The machine features a built-in oil-water separator which you never need to replace, so you don’t need to buy other external oil-water separators.
Usage Notes
For the first use, it must be filled with 500ml of neutral distilled water (can not contain impurities such as minerals) or antifreeze (PH is about 7). Do not turn the grease knob until after 4-6 hours of use, then turn it one turn. Afterwards, if the speed has slowed down, do one turn again. After the break-in period, there is no need to add grease.
When you’re done filling, release the reservoir valve first and then open the compressor’s bleed valve to release the line pressure. All pressure must be released from the compressor before starting.

There are conflicting information guides regarding the flow rate, max fill pressure and fill capacity on these types of compressors, even at GX Pump official website. These guides state both 1L and 6.8L as maximum fill capacity. According to these guides, fill times may be 0 to 4,500 PSI for a 0.5L tank: 14–16 minutes. 3,000 to 4,500 PSI for a 0.5L tank: 4–5 minutes. 0 to 4,500 PSI for a 6.8L bottle: About 2 hours and 40 minutes. For a compressor of this size and price, we would recommend erring on the side of caution. There are specialised compressors built to handle large reservoirs up to 6.8L that are much more capable of getting the job done faster and safer, with much less strain on the machine.
Working a PCP compressor too hard will cause overheating and rapid wear, which significantly shortens its lifespan.
