Description
4.7L CYLINDER RUBBER BOOT
The 4.7L Cylinder Rubber Boot adds extra protection and stability to your air cylinder. Now your cylinder can stand on its own without the tendency to fall over. This rubber encasing also absorbs some shock and prevents scratching and, moreover, gives you a better grip on your bottle!
The foot piece simply pushes onto the cylinder and will allow it to stand upright, because it provides a flat bottom surface with loads of floor traction. Not only does it add protection, but it is also vented with ribs and drain holes to allow water to drain away, helping to prevent corrosion.
The top piece fits over the cylinder’s valve, which will be exposed and easy to reach. This two piece rubber boot almost always covers the entire 4.7L cylinder, leaving only the valve exposed to ease filling. This boot fits many tanks up to 6.8L, although a small section in the middle of the bottle may be exposed. This does not, however, affect the efficacy of the rubber boot.
Made from a high quality black rubber compound, this boot is suitable for steel, aluminium and carbon fiber cylinders. You do not need to remove the rubber boot when you refill your cylinder. However, most testing stations do remove the top part, as they need access to the entire top of the cylinder.
CONCLUSION
Few people realize the power of contained, compressed air. Manufacturers of high pressure air vessels have strict recommendations on safety and servicing. You need to keep these tanks free from scratches, dents and imperfections. You can’t put a price on safety, therefore this rubber boot is a must have accessory.
When used in conjunction with the Cylinder Monkey Bracket, you can provide the best security and stability possible for your tank. The Cylimonkey straps have better traction on the rubber material of the boot, ensuring there is absolutely no movement of the cylinder.
