AEA SF COMPACT SEMI-AUTO 5.5MM
The AEA SF Compact Semi-Auto 5.5mm is part of the next generation of AEA semi automatic airguns. Delivering consistent, semi automatic fire, thanks to the externally adjustable regulator. SF is short for Select Fire, which means you can set it to semi-auto, or you can use it as a bolt action.
With the Compact being the most reduced version of the SF family, it provides an extremely nimble platform. With a 254mm (10 inch) barrel and 255CC air reservoir, you have a compact airgun that is capable of providing a good shot count. In fact, you can fit this compact airgun in a backpack!
On the left side, you’ll find a switch that allows you to lock the pusher, making it easier to insert and remove the self-indexing 12-shot magazine. AEA included some awesome features like an internally baffled shroud around the barrel, as well as a comfortable finger contoured grip. You also get a removeable, length-adjustable folding buttstock. For optics, you have a 11mm Dovetail rail and also a Picatinny bottom rail for various accessories like bipods.
Notes
Importantly, AEA semi auto airguns require at least a 22 foot-pound (30 Joules) configuration to cycle and effectively become semi-auto airguns. When set to a lower power, these airguns cannot function in semi-auto and require the user to manually operate the bolt after each shot. For this reason, when set to < 30Joules, AEA airguns that would normally be semi-auto become repeater airguns.
The barrel is, according to AEA, suited for both pellets and slugs. AEA did not include a silencer adapter, but the shroud does dampen the shot noise considerably.
