FX DRS CLASSIC WALNUT GR2 500 5.5MM
For a powerful PCP air rifle with a traditional look and feel, we introduce the FX DRS Classic Walnut GR2 500 5.5mm. With over-barrel airtube ,as well as hidden high power plenum. And, of course, the accuracy, adjustability and consistency we have come to expect of FX Airguns. With this GR2 (Grade 2) version, you get a beautiful Minelli walnut stock with rosewood tip. A lightweight and easy to carry rifle that doesn’t compromise on features.
At first glance, you may think this is a firearm, due to the seeming absence of an air reservoir. This gives the FX DRS Classic a nice and low profile. The Swedes at FX, of course, simply placed the air reservoir as a shroud around the barrel. A very neat solution, giving this FX model a very minimalistic look with clean lines. However, below the surface, FX crammed this rifle full with the latest airgun technology. And, of course, it comes as standard with various tuning options. From an externally adjustable regulator to an adjustable preload of the hammer spring.
Thanks to the included mini magazine you can mount your rifle scope very close to the barrel on the 11mm Dovetail rail. Easily cock the DRS with the magazine in place – simply pull the very subtle cycling side lever on the right side towards you. And to quickly refill the air reservoir, there’s a filling hole on the right side, into which you can put a fill probe. Easy!

Walnut Grade 2 stock
The FX DRS Classic Walnut Grade 2 500 comes with a beautiful grade 2 walnut stock, including a stand-out rosewood tip. Made by the renowned Italian stock maker Minelli, whose stocks are well-known for their ergonomics and high-quality finish. Paying homage to tradition and craftsmanship, immerse yourself in the rich and luxurious feel of genuine Italian made walnut stock. The warmth and character of the wood elevate your shooting experience, making every moment an affair of timeless sophistication.
Air tube barrel shroud
Like we previously mentioned, the FX DRS is FX’s first PCP with the air reservoir mounted around the barrel. No cylinder or bottle under the barrel, giving you the advantage of a significantly lower profile. This will aid you in your shooting stance, but also means that transporting and storing the FX DRS will take less space. You get an air capacity of 260 cc in this design.
Adjustable regulator
To have the FX DRS firing every shot with the same pressure, this PCP uses a MKII AMP regulator. This regulator is externally adjustable, making it a breeze to adjust the pressure to match the chosen pellet or slug. Doing this ensures the highest possible accuracy and guarantees an ultimate shot consistence.
Adjustable hammer spring
After taking off the stock, you can adjust the hammer spring preload. With more preload on the hammer, the valve will stay open longer, letting through more air. And with less preload, the valve will closer quicker, letting through less air. You can experiment with this and try to keep air pushing behind the pellet or slug for as long as possible, without an excess of air disturbing the balance when the projectile exits the barrel.
High Power plenum
FX is well-known for spending a lot of time perfecting their plenums. This is the air chamber (pre-chamber) between the regulator and the valve. It’s the exact amount of regulated compressed air that is used to propel one projectile. For large projectiles, longer barrels and higher speeds, the rifle needs more air to let the pellet or slug leave the barrel with the desired speed. The other way around, will a too large quantity of air needlessly reduce the shot count, while also having a negative effect on the balance of the projectile. That’s why the FX DRS Classic features two variants of the FX High Power plenum; the HP and the bigger SHP plenum for slugs. The FX DRS Classic Walnut Grade 2 500 and 600 have an HP plenum, while the FX DRS Classic Walnut Grade 2 700 has an SHP plenum.
Superior STX barrel system
The Superior STX barrel system features a removable liner with rifling that’s pressed in from the outside. This makes for a very smooth inner surface and very fluent rifling. They did this, in fact, to minimise friction and maximise sealing around the pellet or slug. FX DRS models with an HP plenum and calibre 5.5 or 6.35 also feature a Dual Hole transfer port in the barrel, that you can switch when using pellets or slugs. The barrel features a ½ UNF thread with thread protector for mounting an optional moderator.
Adjustable trigger
To get the very best out of the FX DRS Classic Walnut GR2 500 5.5mm, its trigger is fully adjustable. With this, you can adjust the trigger exactly as you like it, making its feel match your shooting style. Both the first and second stage are adjustable and the trigger blade is adjustable in distance and height, but can also be rotated for perfect ergonomics.
Please note: The FX DRS comes pre-adjusted in an average state of tuning for average use. The maximum power stated in the specifications can be reached by using the multiple adjustment options on this air rifle.
