H&N PRECISION SLUG .217 33GR 150PCS
The H&N Precision Slug .217 33gr 150PCS expands the product range in .22 calibre and is designed for long-range target shooting with high power airguns.
It is even more reliably accurate than the other H&N Slugs, and with average B.C of 0.140, it is significantly less susceptible to wind and maintains a flatter trajectory. Interestingly, it is the optimized shape of both the ogive and the cavity that raises the BC factor. The latter is also deeper than on their first slugs, bringing the centre of gravity to a perfect point for stable flight.
In the increasingly popular long-range air rifle competitions, shooters aim at steel and paper targets, demanding precision and accuracy even in challenging wind conditions. Recognizing this need, H&N collaborated with pro shooter Air Hunter Gerhard (a renowned expert in airgun hunting and also competitive shooting) to create the H&N Precision Slug.
Air rifle slugs differ significantly from the usual airgun pellets due to their solid bullet shape. Designed for powerful rifles which can shoot such projectiles precisely at targets at 50, 100 or even 200 meters distance. An extremely favourable ballistic coefficient (BC) ensures a flat trajectory, as well as excellent energy retention. To accommodate different barrel profiles and power levels, they offer options in both .217 and .218.
H&N Slugs in .217 and .218 are meant for use in powerful PCP air rifles where they’ll have the advantage of a better accuracy and bigger impact at large distances than conventional diabolo pellets. The muzzle energy of the rifle should be at least 29,5 ft.lbs. or 40 joules.
