Features
The Behemoth has a high quality synthetic all-weather stock. In contrast to other models, it has a solid, sturdy feel to it and is made from polymer and finished in sleek black. The front-end of the stock, as well as the ergonomic pistol grip, are textured for extra comfort and grip. This bullpup stock is ambidextrous and offers both left and right handed shooters equal comfort and shootability. This is in part due to an adjustable cheek piece and tool-free height adjustable rubber buttpad. The stock also features two spare magazine slots in between the buttpad and pistol grip.
Located near the magazine storage, there are two holes in the stock, as well as protective rubber caps. The one closer to the pistol grip holds the regulator pressure adjustment screw. The other holds the rifle’s degas screw. On each side of the rifle there is a manometer. Firstly, on the left hand side, you’ll find the fill pressure gauge. Then, on the right hand side, the regulator pressure gauge.
Further features are two mounting points for a rifle sling and three Picatinny rails on the fore-end. These Picatinny rails allow you to fit accessories like bipods, torches, etc. In addition, for optics fitment, Nova Vista added a heightened Picatinny optics rail. Because the rail is higher than most, it allows for easier scope fitment.
Nova Vista included one 10-Shot rotary magazine and a single shot tray. The metal Biathlon side-lever allows for smooth, effortless cocking. You’ll find a pendulum style manual safety conveniently placed just below the cocking lever. Additionally, the two-stage trigger is adjustable in travel and weight, to suit your individual needs.
Not only is filling the Behemoth safe, but also very simple to do. Simply screw off the protective cap on the front of the air reservoir. This reveals the built-in male quick connect fill probe. The maximum fill pressure on the 180cc air reservoir is 300BAR or 4350 psi. A nice touch from Nova Vista is an automatic overpressure relief valve. It will protect the other parts in your rifle when you accidentally overfill.
Recommendations
The Behemoth has a fully shrouded barrel to quiet the rifle down. However, the barrel is not threaded, so you’ll need a silencer adapter that screws into the shroud itself. Thus we highly recommend the SA Silencers Adapter or DonnyFL Extender & Silencer Adapter. This will allow you to fit 1/2″ UNF threaded silencers or moderators.
With an externally adjustable regulator you can set its pressure up to 200BAR or 2900 psi. Furthermore, the easily-accessible hammer spring adjustment screw let’s you tune the power on this beauty to suit your needs. If you plan on tuning for different projectile weights, a chronograph is the best way to go. You’ll also need to clean your barrel regularly. Find all you need here!
We recommend shooting a minimum of 15.89 grain pellets at a velocity of around 890 fps to achieve 28 ft.lbs. If you want to shoot 25.39 grain pellets or slugs, we recommend a velocity of around 830 to 840 fps to achieve around 40 ft.lbs. Just about any pellet weight in between shoots beautifully, you just need to adjust the velocity for best accuracy.
Lighter pellets will give more shots per fill, whereas heavier pellets and slugs will give less.
