The Pelletgage Slug Sizing Gauge .22 is designed to sort airgun slugs, using ten precise gage aperture. The .22 caliber Slug Gage ranges from 0.2160″ to 0.2205″ in 0.0005 inch steps. Slugs have more contact with barrel rifling than Diabolo pellets, and the diameter of the given surfaces can have a lot of effect.

This device is a metal plate with graduated holes that accept or reject slug sizes.

The Pelletgage SlugGauge does not change the size of the slugs. That is not its function. It measures the size so you can be sure they’re consistent.

If you’re a product tester, Youtube influencer or serious plinker, you may be interested. If you’re a benchrest or NRL competitor who shoots in national competition, then you almost have to check out this instrument. For competitive shooters, every shot counts towards points. Therefore, there is definitely benefits in preparing your ammo by sorting, sizing, weighing and even washing your ammo. This way, you could achieve optimum accuracy and performance out of your gun.

Most shooters chase accuracy. They know that their air guns shoot most accurately with a particular slug or slugs. In many cases, this may be due to the size of that particular slug. Slug dimensions actually vary significantly between different designs and the diameter is a particularly critical measurement.

That may not be too surprising, but it’s more surprising to discover that size can vary significantly between the “same” slugs from one tin! The SlugGage allows us to know the diameter of the slug, and to make that determination quickly.
