What is a Mora anyway, you ask? In Slavic folklore, mora refers to a female nightmare demon or spirit that takes the form of a beautiful woman. She then visits men in their dreams, torturing them with both desire and terrifying nightmares before dragging life out of them. With the power and accuracy this air rifle delivers, we can clearly see why it could be a “nightmare” for either your competitors, or your quarry!
On the other hand, the RTI Mora is a dream to handle and shoot. They did not hold back on either design or features. For instance, RTI included an excellent heavy-duty transport case with hard internal cut-out foam, protecting your Mora from vigorous handling during transport. You get dedicated slots in the foam for your accessories, like the two included 19-shot magazines, as well as the included RTI Hush Carbon Fiber 50mm Suppressor.
Speaking of the accessories, the supplied 19-shot magazines are cavernous and even the longest slugs will have no problems slipping in. According to RTI, you can fit projectiles up to 22mm in length in the magazine and up to 25mm in the single shot tray. They even gift you a RTI Arms Paracord Keychain with Carabiner with this stunning RTI Mora Sniper 5.5mm air rifle.
Brilliant Design
Apart from the included Hush sound moderator, you get a full-length carbon shroud which does an amazing job of taming the bark from this powerful airgun. Of course, the power is easily turned up or down with the externally adjustable regulator.
What most shooters found really interesting, is the “Witness Holes”. The Mora features an intelligent design where each witness hole is aligned with a specific O-ring in the rifle. This allows for precise identification of any leaks from an external viewpoint. In other words, if there is a leak, you can detect exactly which O-ring is leaking from the outside. The valve is also designed for quick removal. You can detach it smoothly without the need to disassemble any other parts of the rifle, allowing for easy extraction of the entire valve assembly.
The barrel can either be truly free floating or it can be locked in place below the scope area. Whatever suits your needs. Of course, there are shooters who prefer the barrel semi-floating, so you have three options here.
This 5.5mm (.22 calibre) version ships with the new high-performance 700mm RTI Proprietary Barrel (RPB) with 1:16 twist rate, designed for heavy pellets and slugs. You also get a 700cc carbon bottle that feeds the Mora for a good shot count. Wrapping around the carbon bottle is the M-LOK bottle shield, which has enough M-LOK slots for any accessory you desire. You can always fit aftermarket Picatinny rails with M-Lok bases to accept Picatinny accessories, if you wish. Anything is possible with the RTI Mora Sniper 5.5mm.
Detailed Features
High-performance Barrel
Equipped with RTI’s Proprietary Barrel by Lothar Walther in 700 mm (28″) format. Features both a 1:16 twist rate and light choke, assuring superb accuracy with pellets and slugs in heavy weights.
M-Lok Compatible Holes
At the bottom of the rear block, you’ll find M-Lok compatible holes to mount accessories such as a monopod or a sling mount. Or, you can mount a Picatinny rail to accept your Picatinny accessories. You’ll also see that RTI added M-Lok slots on both sides (just behind the barrel nut and above the cocking lever) to allow for even more accessory options.
125ccm Plenum
Breech block with integrated 125 cc Plenum together with the new externally adjustable Assisted valve gives great energy output and efficiency. The breech block incorporates a 125 cc Plenum and a newly designed externally adjustable Assisted valve, enhancing both energy output and efficiency.
Adjustable Assisted Valve
The Mora comes with the externally adjusted assisted valve system which uses air from the barrel to close faster. Rapid opening and closing helps with great energies at low pressure and great efficiency. Due to the valve being externally adjustable, dwell time can be adjusted for best performance. The valve on the Mora is set in such a way that it can easily be removed without disassembling anything else on the rifle. In fact, you can easily take out the whole valve assembly.
Externally Adjustable Regulation
You get your Mora with twin regulation. Second stage is externally adjustable and can regulate from 50 bar to 200 bar.
Integrally Suppressed
Integrally suppressed (for the markets where it is allowed, that is) with a monocore design. Mora also comes with an additional RTI suppressor already included, for those who want to be extra quiet.
Truly Free Floating Barrel Optional
RTI Arms designed the Mora with great accuracy in mind. The barrel can either be truly free floating or it can be locked in place below the scope area. Whatever suits your needs, of course.
Witness Holes
Mora includes a smart feature where each hole corresponds to one specific O-ring in the rifle. If there is a leak, you can detect exactly which O-ring is leaking from the outside.
Adjustable Trigger
First and second stage of the trigger can be easily adjusted down to 200g.
Hammer Safety
Equipped with a 180-degree manual safety located on the right rear side of the gun. When you turn it fully to the “S” position, the hammer is pushed back, and the trigger sear disengages. This means even if your gun takes a tumble, it won’t go off.
700cc Carbon Bottle
For extended shot count at this power, you get a lightweight 700 cc carbon fibre bottle that seamlessly fits in with the look of the carbon shroud.
M-Lok Bottle Shield
Not just for looks, the M-Lok Bottle Shield (also referred to as the M-Lok rail extension or bottle protector) attaches over the bottom of the rifle, covering the M-Lok slots located under the trigger guard. It acts as a protective shield for the air bottle and provides a more rigid, longer M-Lok rail as a more secure mounting platform.
Adjustable Picatinny Optics Rail
Apart from the fact that you get a generous 190mm long 18-slot Picatinny rail, the Mora also features a 20-150 MOA elevation adjustment for coarse tuning. This setup, of course, lets you tweak your scope’s elevation for longer shots. With the adjustable eye relief rail option, you can fine-tune the scope’s position closer or farther to achieve perfect eye relief.
Ambidextrous Heavy Round Magazine
The Mora’s smart design magazine allows it to be rotated to the other side so it is both lefty and righty friendly. You can fit either pellets or slugs up to 22 mm in length in the magazine, or use the included single shot tray for ammo up to 25 mm long.
Heavy Duty Case
RTI supplies the Mora with an industry grade heavy duty transport hard case with hard foam cut-out, giving you plenty of room for accessories.
