Let’s look at the Leapers UTG Pro AR15 Ops Ready S3 Mil-Spec Stock Kit Black RBUS3BM. Originally designed as a heavy duty carbine stock for the AR platform, you can, however, install this kit on quite a few rigs, including air rifles!
Because of the lightweight, compact, and ergonomic design, you get improved weapon control and a comfortable cheek weld. The multiple sling attachment points, fully dehorned corners, and also slightly increased length of pull makes this an ideal stock for your next build.
Of course, you can fit this kit to most AR-15 or M16 platforms and AR-308 platforms that have a Mil-Spec buffer tube. Leaper UTG, in fact, designed it to fit Mil-spec diameter buffer tubes for a secure fit. For firearms with a commercial-spec buffer tube, such as some VR80s, you may need to replace the original tube with a Mil-spec one for compatibility. The stock is specifically designed for Mil-spec tubes, so it will not fit directly onto a commercial-spec buffer tube without modifications.
