FX IMPACT LONG SLUG SINGLE SHOT LOADER 5.5MM

On special request, Huma-Air made a Single Shot Loader specially for long slugs up to 13mm in length. Most 40 grain slugs available are no longer than 12mm, at most. Therefore, this single shot loader will do the job just fine on almost all available .22 pellets or slugs. Whether you’re shooting .216, .217 or .218 sizing, this Single Shot Loader gets the job done.

It is also suitable for pellets, but the design is based on the long slugs. There’s no doubt that airgun slugs are a hot topic right now. Compared to traditional diabolo (waisted) airgun pellets, airgun slugs offer improved accuracy at long ranges. They also deliver greater downrange impact due to a higher Ballistic Coefficient. The trajectory is flatter and they’re less affected by crosswinds, too.

More and more shooters are looking to heavier slugs. This is not just because of their high ballistic coefficient, but also their impact. With the influx of high powered airguns and various upgrade options available, more shooters can enjoy experimenting with slugs. However, some experts do not recommend heavier slugs in all magazines. They simply won’t fit, or might influence the cycling ability of the magazine.

Often, experts also troubleshoot grouping issues by shooting single shot. This Single Shot Loader is perfect, making sure you can shoot both pellets and long slugs without a magazine.
