Description
FX IMPACT M3 SNIPER SLUGGUN POWER BLOCK BRONZE 5.5MM
The FX Impact M3 Sniper SlugGun Power Block Bronze 5.5mm, fitted with a power kit and a 700mm heavy slug liner. Specifically customized and purpose built from the ground up with heavy slug shooting in mind. We will tune your rifle to shoot the heavy slugs of your choice, not restricted to just one brand or grain.
The FX Impact is firmly seen as the greatest airgun made, with undeniable proof in this version of the popular air rifle. The Impact M3 once again redefines this high standard. With ground-breaking advancements, upgrades, and a sole unwavering focus on creating the most advanced, most accurate, and most capable airgun you’ll ever shoulder.
This Power Block version of the FX Impact M3 is upgraded to provide improved valve flow and deliver more power. Therefore, it is great for use with heavier slugs at long distances. The presence of it dominates competition lines, therefore shooters continue to expand what you can do with this rifle. It performs, it delivers, and continues to provide the foundation for innovation. The FX Impact M3 advances the claim: it is the most advanced, most exciting and most accurate air rifle available.
New FX M3 Power Block Features
FX has completely redesigned the rear block and the valve house which allows better air flow, efficiency, and power potential. The pressure in the plenum can now better translate to the pressure behind the slug upon firing, allowing higher speeds and power.
We encourage those shooting heavy slugs to add the FX Impact Tungsten Hammer Weight to also allow for higher working pressures.
FX M3 Features
For even greater power capabilities, the M3 has a larger plenum. FX increased its capacity to no less than 72cc! This is, in particular, a big attraction for slug shooters. Also, the larger 580cc Carbon Fiber wrapped air tank is standard with the M3, giving much higher shot count.
Another improvement is the incorporation of two regulators. The first regulator is a tiny device that’s built-in to the HPA bottle connection. This puts less stress on the main (second) regulator. The result is more consistent regulator output pressure, causing lower shot-to-shot FPS variability, of course.
Additionally, the M3 incorporates the new FX Quick Tune System. You can easily adjust almost all of the many tune settings without tools, thanks to this major upgrade. Pressure is adjusted using the dual regulators, of course. The Valve Adjuster controls the “open time” of the valve, metering the charge of HPA behind the pellet or slug.
You can adjust hammer spring tension using the traditional Power Wheel, now with 16 steps. However, there’s a Micro Fine hammer spring adjuster, too. This lets you adjust the Muzzle Velocity in steps as precise as 1 or 2 FPS difference! Furthermore, the sidelever cocking system can mount ambidextrously. And, the new trigger allows the trigger post to be moved forward and back. It also has a crisper second stage.
Similarly, for long range shooters, the Picatinny scope rail now has a built-in 20 MOA angle. This prevents scope turrets from running out of adjustment clicks to accommodate extreme projectile drop at extended ranges. Finally, the M3 includes high quality Wika pressure gauges as standard. There’s no point in having all this precision adjustability built-in to the gun if it’s not possible to measure the internal pressure accurately!
SLUGS
For anyone who has yet to get their hands on some airgun slugs, these projectiles look much more like the bullets fired by powder-burning rifles. Not much like the shuttlecock-shape pellets that have established themselves as standard airgun fare for as long as most of us can probably recall.
The profile of a slug means that it has more contact with the barrel than a waisted pellet. This in turn means that it needs a greater propulsion to overcome the friction.
However, their aerodynamic shape results in a better ballistic coefficient than that of a conventional pellet. Therefore, their potential for long-range performance is enhanced.
