FX POCKET CHRONOGRAPH D1
The FX Pocket Chronograph D1 is a compact radar chronograph designed for reliable velocity measurement in any environment. This compact chrony is, of course, the successor of the FX Pocket Chrono V2. The D1 represents a significant upgrade over earlier models, combining portability with powerful performance analysis.
Using radar technology, it measures pellet or slug speed without being affected by light conditions or weather. You get consistent readings, whether used indoors, outdoors, in rain, or in low light.
You can read shot velocity and statistics without the need for a smartphone or external screen, thanks to the integrated LED display. Record velocities from 122 to 381 m/s (400–1,250 fps) and review full shot string data directly on the unit.
Mounting is surprisingly straightforward. Secure the D1 Chronograph with a simple quarter turn with the new Quick Release System. FX included two mounting options in the set; a barrel mount and a Weaver / Picatinny rail mount. Thanks to the 90 degree adapter, your display will always be visible, regardless of the mounting position.
The housing is weather-resistant and built for regular field use. Like with most modern technologies, you can charge the unit via USB-C. For extended data analysis, firmware updates and detailed statistics, you can use the FX smartphone app, but it is not required for normal operation.
Screen Display
You get both basic and advanced display modes, and the screen orientation can be physically adjusted for easy viewing regardless of how it is mounted. The sought-after information that you can view right on the display includes:
Real-time Velocity: Immediate speed of the projectile (in Feet Per Second or Meters Per Second) for the most recent shot.
Shot-String Statistics: Advanced readouts of the current string, including Minimum, Maximum, and Average velocity.
Ballistic Deviations: Extreme Spread (ES) and Standard Deviation (SD) to help tune your rifle.
Muzzle Energy: Calculated automatically in either Joules or Foot-Pounds (when the pellet/projectile weight is input).
Device Status: Battery level and the current unit settings.
Smartphone App (Optional)
The Pocket Chronograph D1 can connect to the FX Radar app via Bluetooth. When pairing the FX Pocket Chronograph D1 with the app, you unlock the full potential and get access to advanced features. FX Airguns’ Smartphone App provides:
Detailed shot‑string analysis
Velocity and deviation metrics
Custom rifle, calibre, and projectile profiles
Firmware updates
Extended analytical tools like drop charts
While the app enhances functionality, the chronograph operates fully on its own, thanks to the integrated display.
