K&L GEN3 ARCA RAIL TRIGGER GUARD
The K&L Gen3 ARCA Rail Trigger Guard, quality made in Seattle, USA by Kraford & Lypt. They took everything they learned from the Gen1 and Gen2 trigger guard and packed it into the Gen3 with improved design and features. One of the lowest-profile guards available, designed and produced in the USA directly by Kraford and Lypt.
K&L’s Gen3 ARCA-Swiss Trigger Guard represents an upgrade compared to earlier versions of the design. This is because it includes an ARCA-Swiss rail in addition to the T-slots and is compatible with newer versions of the Impact. It also features a thicker design with increased strength and less bend.
Another nice feature is the fill port cap, which they machined in a way that it’s barely visible. It features a spring-loaded lock to keep it in place. You can remove it easily by operating the slide button. The Gen3 Long accessory rail goes directly underneath the air cylinder. No need to worry, a soft piece of foam prevents the rail from touching with the air cylinder.
This Gen3 Long accessory rail is made of durable aluminium and has an anodised surface. After two generations, we’ve come to the third generation ARCA Swiss rail for the FX Impact. It has a total length of 35cm (13.77″) and comes with an integrated T-rail on which you can mount the supplied Weaver/Picatinny rail. Furthermore, it weighs under 300 gram.
ARCA + T-Slot
The Gen3 guard features integrated T-slot and ARCA.
The 38.1mm (1.5″) platform width of the ARCA creates a strong base, allowing us to push this guard out further than the Gen2.2 guard with ample flexure strength.
The T-slot allows you to add and subtract pic rails as desired and put them anywhere you want along the bottom. Each guard comes with 1 pic rail. More can be acquired separately.
Integrated cap
The cap on the Gen3 and Gen2.2 have been redesigned. It is now longer and secured by a magnetic lock.
Snag resistant
The bottom of the Gen3 is very smooth. Edges on the T-slot have a large radius, and no snagging angles from the tip of the guard going all the way back to the grip. This allows you to use the bottom of your guard in many positions, sliding it back and forth to get into the best position. Stops can be added to create a hook.
Low Profile
Gen3 guards add the least amount of height to your rifle of the available guards on the market. This makes your rifle less bulky and allows you to fit into tight spots; especially for competition courses.
Manufacturing
