FX MAVERICK SNIPER SLUG GUN 5.5MM
This FX Maverick Sniper Slug Gun 5.5mm is fitted with a power kit and a 700mm heavy slug liner. Specifically customized and purpose built from the ground up with heavy slug shooting in mind. We will tune your rifle to shoot the heavy slugs of your choice, not restricted to just one brand or grain.
THE MAVERICK
This rifle is purpose built from the ground up. The Maverick features a 89cc Power Plenum and is the largest yet on an FX rifle with the latest FX innovation. Dual AMP Regulators can be adjusted externally and allows for superior shot strings. The Dual Regulators work in tandem with the large plenum. Paired proportionately with the correct porting and valving, this allows for a more consistent working pressure to be delivered.
The Maverick utilizes the same rear power adjuster that was first introduced with the FX Wildcat MKIII. This breakthrough hammer adjuster allows for both micro and macro adjustments. using the same dial which allows the Maverick to be fully adjusted in harmony.
SLUGS
For anyone who has yet to get their hands on some airgun slugs, these projectiles look much more like the bullets fired by powder-burning rifles. Not much like the shuttlecock-shape pellets that have established themselves as standard airgun fare for as long as most of us can probably recall.
The profile of a slug means that it has more contact with the barrel than a waisted pellet. This in turn means that it needs a greater propulsion to overcome the friction.
However, their aerodynamic shape results in a better ballistic coefficient than that of a conventional pellet. Therefore, their potential for long-range performance is enhanced.
